Dear Sir or Madam, I am contacting you with the aim of carrying out a traineeship at your hospital , which would last for around 5 months and start sometime between March 2024 to July 2024, which means during the spring semester. More specifically, I am very interested in joining your team of trainees through a work placement that will be supported by the Erasmus+ program. Moreover, I really like volunteering and I am a member of the blood donation team of my university. Concerning my language skills, I have always been keen on learning new languages. I have a C2 level certificate in English ( Cambridge and Michigan University) and I also know German and have obtained a B1 level certificate. Currently I am also having Spanish lessons . I have been given the chance to practice my language skills a lot, since I have been working with tourists as a tour guide during Summer. I firmly believe that carrying out my traineeship at your hospital will undoubtedly provide me with the opportunity not only to enhance my already obtained knowledge and skills but mainly learn new things and techniques. Taking my first steps in the field of midwifery in another country will help me cultivate a rich perspective on the different healthcare standards and protocols and also help me stand out in my future job. Furthermore, I have always believed that living abroad for a while is a life changing experience since you learn how to live independently, get familiar with another culture and make strong friendships from allover the world. My traineeship considering my university’s agreement should involve Labour ward ( 14 weeks), Postpartum ward ( 3 weeks), Operating room (1 week) , Neonatal Intensive Care Unit ( 1 week) , External Obstetrics clinic ( 1 week) and an external Gynecology clinic ( 1 week). However, the schedule can be modified depending on the availability of the hospital’s departments.
